Do you have what it takes to be Stranded for SNAPS?
We are delighted to announce our first ever Stranded for SNAPS event on Tuesday, 22nd October.
Participants will be taken out on a boat from Leeds Dock and stranded there until they can raise the funds needed for their fare back to shore!
With an allotted time and a fundraising target, the group will set sail from the dock via water taxi with their phones, laptops and a book of contacts. They will then need to enlist the help of their connections, persuading them to donate vital funds for SNAPS. They will be able to return to dry land once they have reached their fundraising target.
The Lord Mayor of Leeds, Cllr Abigail Marshall Katung, and Gemma Smith, CEO of housebuilder Strata already ‘on board’. There is space available for further participants to take part, so if you’re up to the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
At SNAPS, we receive no statutory funding to deliver our services. All funds raised from Stranded for SNAPS will go towards our vital work, helping families such as Stacey and her son, Lars.

“I wish we had attended SNAPS sooner, as it has had a big impact not only to my son but to me as a parent also. The staff are wonderful so welcoming, knowledgeable and always have a listening ear and a cup of tea at the ready! They have really embraced us and made us feel like we belong!”
